When I say use it to your advantage I mean, don’t sell from your blog, tell stories, let people get to know you even better. If you tell stories people will be much more likely to click on your affiliate links than if you try to sell them.

You have hopefully been growing your relationships with your myspace friends through messaging and comments, this is yet another chance to grow your relationship as well as put some money in your pocket.

I often use my mypsace blog as a way to send people to my niche blog. I do this by just putting a link at the bottom of the blog post. The topics I blog about both on myspace and on my niche blog are the same or similar so this works very well.

This is also another reason why it’s a good idea to add niche related friends. You can start as many myspace profiles as you need to cover your niches. First I should say you must decide who it is you are speaking to. I always build an avatar for my target market. It makes it so much easier to target the right people on myspace when I know exactly who they are.

An avatar is basically a picture of your “perfect” client or myspace friend. You should decide age, sex, job, annual salary, parent or not, what they do for fun, just about anything you can think of for a person, you should know for your “perfect” person.

I work in the natural parenting niche. So I target moms 28-38, with an income of over 50k. I know some keywords that will get me the kind of people I’m looking for are breastfeeding, baby wearing, natural childbirth, etc etc. Knowing all of this makes it so easy for me to find just who I’m looking for at myspace.

Once you figure out who you are looking for you can find friends manually or you can use a myspace friend adder. They are pretty much the same in the searching part, it’s the sending of requests that the adder does automatically.

The most important part of finding friends like you on myspace is to know who you are looking for before you start looking. Building an avatar of your perfect person will help this process immensely.

If you choose to use a myspace friend generator your friend list will grow quite rapidly. I have started out with a new profile and added over 1000 targeted friends in less than a week. A thousand myspace friends is a pretty nice list, especially if they are targeted to your niche.

The adder software will bring back tons of possibilities. You just click add and they will automatically be added to the list of friend requests waiting to be sent. Once you have gathered 300 likeminded “friends” you just click the button and all of your friend requests will go out automatically. You may have to add a few captcha codes along the way, but it is much easier and faster than doing it by hand.

When I first started using the Friend Blaster Pro software I was really nervous I would get completely unrelated people, however, I found the software chooses people that are very well matched to my keyword phrases. If you have a topic that could go a bad way ~say, cloth diapers, you can always put the disqualifier in so you don’t get adult diapers and freaky people in your search results.

So whether you won a gold medal in the Olympics or go the best costume award at the Star Trek Convention put it out there.
3. Why are you on myspace. Now don’t tell people you are there to find leads and build your business. That won’t work. You can tell them you are there to meet like minded people to connect with. I happen to live in a conservative rural area and that makes it difficult to meet like minded people ~ that’s why I go to myspace.
4. Your History. What events in life have made you who you are. Share a little about your history, and what’s happened that has shaped you as a person in your life.
5. Your Story. This is where you tell your story. If you have tried a million business models, failed in every network marketing business, tried to build an affiliate marketing business for the last 5 years but have made no money. That’s your story, tell it. People will resonate with your story, and you will probably have a lot in common with a lot of other people.
6. Your solution. This is where you solve the problem that has held you back. Tell about how you solved this problem, don’t mention your company or your product, but let them know you found a solution.
7. Call to action. Tell them what they need to do next. Whether it’s call you, watch a video, go to a website. Give them instructions. Remember you are an authority on this subject. So act like it, sound like it. Don’t be wishy washy here. If you say call me now to get started in reaching your dreams and give your phone number you will get way more phone calls than from a waffly call to action.
8. Give an out for the shy folks. I always provide a link or something for people to look at in case they do not feel comfortable or confident enough to just call me or send me an email.
